Melman's Long Lost Twin.......

I just had a huge realization as I was watching Madagascar 2. It was like the heavens opened and the light shined (is shined even a word?) down on me.

Rhett.could.be.Melman's.long.lost.twin.

Don't believe me? Check out this quote from the first Madagascar:

Gloria: Melman! Are you okay?

Melman: Yeah. I often doze off while I'm getting an MRI.

Alex: Melman, you're not getting an MRI.

Melman: CAT scan?

Alex: No! No CAT scan! It's a transfer! It's a zoo transfer!

Melman: Zoo transfer? Oh, no. No, no. I can't be transferred. I have an appointment with Dr. Goldberg at five. There are prescriptions that have to be filled! No other zoo can afford my medical care! And I am not going HMO!

Yeah, I know what you are thinking. I was shocked too. I wonder if they were brothers in another life or something?

Shut up, it could totally happen.

Melman even eats the urinal cake thingy thinking it's a mint.

Rhett likes to eat things out of the toilet too!

I have always loved Melman, and now I know why.

Hey Rhett? I promise you, mommy will never transfer you to another zoo. You will always live in our zoo, we know that they won't be able to afford you. You're totally safe here with us little buddy.

thats so funny. I love madagascar, and Melman is my favorite character. I think the only difference is Melman is a hypocondriac and Rhetts issues are real. LOL

Hey also, I wanted to let you know I just started on Rhetts blankie. So we need to get together in the next few days so I can give it to you.

Yeah we have watched that quite a few times. Although Melman is a hypochondriac and Rhett has real life issues.

Oh my goodness that hat on top of that adorable face. It's almost too much - it's really that cute!

Ok I've never seen Madagascar (I'll pause while you gasp...ok back with me?) but I can say that Rhett is precious and looks fabulous in that hat! What a doll.

Pam,
I just want to tell you how amazing you are! You might be honest-blatantly so, but that is what makes you so cool. I am so saddened by peoples short mindedness. Rhett is a blessing, and you and Andy were CHOSEN to be his parents. Life might be harder because of that choice, but no less sweeter! I think Rhett, and your other children are beautiful!! You just keep being you, and all those haters will eventually leave...

Since Sofia forces me to watch Madagascar on a DAILY basis (hence my frequent repetition of "Smile and Wave, Boys, Smile and Wave"), I am shocked that I never noticed the difference before. But yeah, DEFINITELY no zoo transfer for Mr. Rhett!!!
