Hobos and Buses......

Chloee is home from school today again due to her icky rash. After we got the rest of the kids off to school we decided we wanted Mcdonald's for Breakfast.

Because Chloee looks like blotchy scary monster (her words not mine.), we went to the drive up window. As we were sitting there waiting for our food she asks me:

"Mom? What if they had a walk up window for Hobos?"

After I spit my coke out and changed my underpants from laughing so hard, I looked back at her and said,

"Um I don't think Hobos have the money to eat at Mcdonalds."

She pondered that for a second and said,

"Oh. Well, maybe they can walk up and say, 'Hey give me some money so I can buy a double cheeseburger with extra mustard and pickles.' "

Sigh. I have no idea where she gets this stuff. What a goof.

We did get lab results back on her and she does not have Lupus. Just some type of a nasty virus going on.

Rhett got on the bus for school for the first time today. He wasn't too happy. I felt so bad seeing his little chubby hands reaching out to me, and the big tears rolling down his cheeks. I just hope he did well. He should be home soon, and I am sitting here biting my nails waiting for him.

Buses are scary. They are big and they make alot of noise. I can't imagine what it's like for a three year old with special needs getting on one, and being surrounded by strangers. I hope I didn't traumatize him too much. We'll try it out this week, and if he doesn't like it, then I will take him until he's ready.

I know that there are times that I am more worried about things than he is. I am hoping this is one of those times. He understands so much more than I give him credit for.

I am way too over protective of him.

Anyhow, that's how my Monday morning is going. What are you up to this week?

That is wonderful news that she doesn't have Lupus. My husband's aunt has it and it has taken a huge toll on her life. I'm so glad to hear too that Rhett started school. He will love it! Good luck with everything and keeping everyone WELL.

William was scared of the big loud scary bus at first...but after not more than a week, he decided that he LOVES taking the bus. He is so excited (saying and signing "bus bus"), runs toward it in happiness when it picks him up, and waves at it (calling, "bye!") when it leaves after dropping him off.

I would be bawling with him. He probably got on and then saw how cool a bus was, then was fine.

Happy to here that she does not have Lupus. Seriously, I think it is time in my prayers I start adding, "and DO NOT give them any more ADVERSITY for the next 5 years". Maybe I just need to be clearer. Then in 5 years I will say, "Please do not give them any financial or halth issues." I guess maybe I am just not specific enough!
Glad to see you again!
Much Love,
Tami

If only the world could be so easy for hobos as Chloee envisions! ;o)

Poor Rhett on the bus. He's so brave, I'm sure he did just fine! (I can't say the same for his mom though!) =)

Eva cried the first time I put her on the bus too. I stressed for the first hr, then had to go to her school to see if she'd made it, and still unhappy. SHe was fine. Now, she yells "school bus" every time she sees one, and runs to the bus in the morning. She LOVES it.
Now, Primary is a way different story.
