RIP Sesame Street Couch....

See this couch?

Ya, Rhett loved that couch. He sat on it every day and it's even sat on my side of the bed at night folded out ,so he has somewhere to sleep when he is too sick to be in his room alone at night.

Last night I realized that the foam was all stinky and looking moldy on the inside. I opened it up, and some how...Probably from the gagillion sippy cups of water and rotten milk that are always laying around....it got soaked into the couch and the foam is all ruined.

I can't complain though. I mean we have had it for over 2 years, and for 30.00 I really think we got our use out of it, ya know?

We will get him another couch for sure. Hopefully we can find another one with at least Elmo on it.

RIP little couchy. We will miss you.

Good luck with the replacement, will Rhett mind a new one or will he have separation anxiety from the old one? Just wondering because my son has a blankie that he loves, but if I wash it he doesn't like the clean smell.I guess dirt smells good to him.

Luckily for us Jacob's favorite is a sled that he calls a boat...

Carly had one just like that. We had to toss hers too. I washed it and washed, but after 26 months of chemo., it was finally shot. She spent many a night on it. She missed it terribly, but we could never find another one like it :o(

We had a Dora couch like Rhett's. I went to wash the cover one day and as I tried to remove it the foam started to fall apart... nasty!! It was all discolored, too! I ended up throwing ours out. Too gross!!
