Totally Random Things Cuz it's Late.....

So today I went and looked at the condo that we may be renting. Compared to our 5 bedroom home, well it's small.

I mean for a three bedroom condo it's big. The rooms are well...roomy. Huge closets, a laundry room with a counter to fold clothes on, oh the little things that make me happy.

The living room is itty bitty. Just big enough to fit our love seat, recliners and TV. I'm pretty sure that even with all of the stuff we are selling we will end up renting a storage unit as well. Which is cool.

Our Internet and cable is included in rent. That makes me grin. No more worrying about not getting the Comcast bill in before they shut us off.

The kitchen is pretty nice as well, and the bathrooms are big. We have a bajillion Disney VHS movies though, and I'm not sure where they are going to go. We currently have them residing in our office. We haven't watched them for months, but I can't bring myself to get rid of them.

So now we are supposed to get an application from the landlord. This part always freaks me out.

I mean, is he going to run a credit check? We have been totally up front with him and honest. We've told him that our credit sucks rocks. He knows our house is being foreclosed. I mean, we aren't trashy people.

I like to think we're pretty clean. We shower every day, and have hand sanitizer in every nook and cranny of the house. One could say that I am a major germ-a-phobe. In fact I often wonder if there is any way I can get my hands on one of those little decontamination shower thingies that they use when there is a chemical spill or scare.

--You know, for when my kids come home from school.

Yes, I know it sounds a bit OCD side doesn't it.

I'm sure though, the last few days I could win a mom of the year award, (lest you all think I am so awesome I never do anything wrong.) like for letting my kids jump off of the couch onto pillows, for letting Rhett walk around in my underwear...(that he TOTALLY put on by himself--I KNOW!! I'm so proud too!!)....He is growing up and learning to dress himself.

--And I'm sure that if his underpants were as big and stretchy as mine he would be putting his own.

See Mother of the Year award, I'm tellin ya. I am actually encouraging my three year olds cross dressing behaviors.

I have debated on posting these pictures, I mean, who wants their panties posted for the world to see? But I promise they are totally clean, and they look so big because he totally stretched them out, and they're the boy short type ones, so of course they are bigger....You know, I don't need any help with wedgies or anything.

So here's my question though.

Do you call Women's stuff Panties, underwear, or underpants? Women's undergarments? Seiously, I don't know what the right thing to call them is. I mean I wouldn't want to hurt their feelings.

I am seriously laughing! He is so darn cute! If it makes you feel any better my 6 year old was dancing around in his Dad's underwear and my bra the other day. I took photos, but I am too embarassed to post them. LOL--Also, we had the foreclosure thing happen to us, too. We were just totally honest and explained everything and they were OK with it. We had to pay a bit more deposit the first time we rented afterward. Now, we have just paid first and last the last two times. It will get easier. Be easy on yourself! :o)

Hi Pam!
I've been reading Rett's blog for a long time, but this is the first time that I leave a comment.
Yesterday, I had some problems with my computer so I'm reading now about the blog going private.
My name is Silvia and I'm from Asturias, Spain.
I'm married and I have two children, a fourteen (almost fifteen) year old daughter and a son who is ten.
You are an amazing family and Rett is a fighter and a cute little boy!
I wish you the best for this New Year!!!
Un saludo.
Silvia.

LOL... that was so super funny! I wouldn't be too worried about the application thing right now. I think the worst case senario might be that you might have to pay a larger deposit then you would it your credit were a little bit better. In fact, we need a new car so bad right now and once Kyle goes back to work, we'll need to buy one. The scariest part to me is them having to pull our credit. I worked for years to get me credit good and first, I lost my job back in 2004 which paid more then 3xs what I'm making now and then Kyle lost his so ours pretty much sucks now too.... Needless to say, I know exactly how scared you feel right now. Loves...

That is so precious, I believe I heard the phrase "undies" for ladies underware. But what do I know.

Look at that smile. He knows he stole mommies undies. LOL, we didn't have any problems renting our house after we lost our home. I think they know you need a home. And with the economy the way it is, you aren't the only ones. Your doing the right thing by just being open with them, give that boy a kiss from me and Jax

well, over in the uk we call them 'knickers' for lady's underpants, and men call their underwear 'pants'... so you can imagine the confusion when you americans come over our side of the pond and start discussing what pants you wore to go out last night...!!

by the way, those little hands and feet are so totally YUMMY!!! Thomas's are equally delicious :o)
Lovely pics

Loving the new blog
